Fishing village – an attractive tourism site

Whoever has been to Ha Long Bay - one of the new seven natural wonders of the world, surely could not easily forget the mysterious and picturesque landscape endowed by the Nature to this place. In the enormous space of water, rocks and mountains, sitting on lurching bamboo boats, visitors are able to enjoy spectacular scenery and explore the daily life and special culture of the fishermen.

Cua Van Float Cultural Center

This tour also offer visitors opportunity to experience and explore the daily life of fisher community at Vong Vieng, Cua Van, and Cong Đam fishing villages . It is about 30km from Bai Chay tourist wharf to Vong Vieng- a small and peaceful fishing village in Ha Long Bay. Witnessing fishermen’s daily activities on floating houses is another interesting experience, especially for foreign visitors. You can also pop in and talk to some fishermen; visiting Cua Van Floating Cultural Center, aquaculture areas, especially pearl farms, and observing a class of the kids at a floating school.

Fishermen will take you on a bamboo boat and show you around their village. You may feel the salty taste of the sea while listening to folk songs and chanties by the fishermen. Nothing is more interesting than trying to be a real fisherman by throwing a net and dropping a fishing rode. You may feel thrilled and exciting when pulling a net full of fishes...

Exploring traditional art performances

The Quang Ninh traditional operetta Group and the Vietnam-Japan Labor Culture Center are two leading units in organizing art performances for the tourists. With close collaboration, these two units organized a successful art concert with a wide range of interesting performances using ethnic musical instruments, namely: traditional dancing and folk singing performances at the Vietnam-Japan Labor Culture Center.

Additionally, The Quang Ninh Traditional Operetta Group has also contracted with other travel agencies to provide traditional performances of Dao and Tay ethnic groups on tourist boats, and luxurious hotels, aiming at preserving the national traditions and introducing Quang Ninh’s unique culture to the visitors.

A part from Vietnamese art performances, some local art groups leaded by the Quang Ninh Traditional Operetta Group also offer visitors interesting performances of Russian and Indian tradition.

Another attraction where visitors can enjoy traditional art performances is the Royal International Amusement Park. In here water puppet show which is a Vietnamese unique art is daily opened. On the stage of the Royal International Park, water puppetry scenarios are written based on the tales and legends of Ha Long Bay.
