Mao Khe coal company finishes 2 blocks of workers' houses

Despite negative effects of regional and world economic crisis, leading to difficulties in the coal exploring and mechanizing activities of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Group, the Mao Khe coal company has mobilized its resources to take care of living standards for officials and workers.

It is building two blocks of 5-storey building for officials and workers at Vinh Xuan area, Mao Khe town, Dong Trieu district. After 8 months of construction, the first stage of the project has finished, covering nearly 8,000 square meter with the total investment of VND66 billion.

Each complete apartment ranges from 42-60 square meters, in which 320 are for single persons and 51 for families. As planned, on August 1, as many as 520 officials and workers will move in.

.vnMr Bui Van Thang, from No 4 stone section, happily said: “We are so happy to live in this new apartment. It demonstrates the great efforts of the company. So, workers keep their mind on the work, and attach themselves to the development of the company and the nation’s coal sector”.

Currently, supporting works and technical infrastructure of the first stage are ready for operation, like the motorbike parking area, power station, water plumbing and supplying system, main gate and fence system.

The project will not only improve the living standards of workers, but also effectively local land-uses in Mao Khe town.

It is one of projects celebrating the 11th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) for the 2013-2018 and 80th anniversary of VGCL establishment (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2013).
