Quang Ninh province plants 33,000 hectares of trees and crops in 4 months

As of April 15, the northern province of Quang Ninh planted close to 33,000 hectares of trees, accounting for 90% of the target, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Accordingly, the province planted nearly 17,000 hectares of rice, over 4,000 hectares of maize, 4,900 hectares of forests. In addition, localities sowed over 28.3 million seedlings, serving the afforestation goals in the near future.

The provincial Department of Planning and Investment also reported that in the first 4 months of the year, the province exploited 77,500 cubic metres of planted forests. Together with other forestry products, the province gained hundreds of billions of VND, with USD9.52 million from forestry exports./.
