Quang Ninh responds the World Environment Day

On June 3rd, in Ha Long city, a meeting was held by Ha Long city People's Committee to respond to the World Environment Day (May 5th). It was attended by Mr. Dang Huy Hau, Vice Chairman of QNPPC along with leaders of the relevant provincial departments, army forces, enterprises, members of the youth union and local people in Ha Long city.

With the theme "Raise your voice, not the sea level", the World Environment Day aims to highlight the importance of environmental protection;  the ways to cope issues resulted from climate change in fragile areas, namely islands and coastal areas, including Ha Long city. Therefore, both individuals and organizations should take actions to show their responsibilities in protecting environment, such as planting more trees, collecting and treating waste; using clean energy and environmental friendly materials, etc.

After the meeting, all the delegates and local people plant trees at settlement areas of Ha Long fishermen in Ha Phong ward and joined other activities to respond the World Environment Day.
