Nearly 600 units of blood collected in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh on July 13th held a ceremony to honor 20 outstanding blood donors in 2016.

Over the past three years, over 100 collectives and nearly 500 outstanding individuals making great contributions to blood donation programs have been honoured.

During the honouring ceremony, the province launched a voluntary blood donation festival which attracted nearly 1,000 participants, receiving 593 units of blood.

The festival was one of the practical activities responding to the 4th Red Journey in collecting blood trans-nationally, which is being held by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion throughout July across 27 provinces and cities.
