Quang Ninh lifts the National Cup

Quang Ninh Coal beat hosts Ha Noi T&T 2-1 in the second leg final of the National Football Cup at Hang Day Stadium to lift the trophy yesterday.

Quang Ninh, which tied with Ha Noi T&T 4-4  in the first leg, won the cup with an aggregated 6-5 score after two legs.

It’s the first ever national trophy that Quang Ninh has won since it was established in the 1960s.

Striker Duc Thang helped Quang Ninh lead the score in the 34th minute with a cannon shot, beating Hanoian goalkeeper Anh Đức.

Xuan Hung of Quang Ninh netted the ball in the 49th minute to help Quang  Ninh lead 2-0.

The Ha Noi team pulled back a goal in the 89th minute thanks to maestro Van Quyet.

Last week the Ha Noii team won the National Football Championship, V-League 1.
