Quang Ninh province holds activities for enlistees

A ceremony was held in Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province last week to hand over 176 local youths to military units in the enlistment call of 2017.

To create a jubilant and exciting atmosphere for enlistees, localities in Quang Ninh province organized various activities, such as social gatherings and talks with people of different generations on traditional education, and cultural exchanges.

At the ceremony, enlistees had an opportunity to meet and talk with war veterans, leaders of the district-level Military Commands in Quang Ninh province on their experiences in the army or the military school, and the military service law; contributing to raising youths’ awareness and responsibility for implementation of the Law on Military Service, while fostering and educating patriotism and the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army to the young generation.

On this occasion, localities in Quang Ninh province also offered each recruit from VND 2.5 million to VND 5 million while each recruits from Co To island district received VND 8 million each, as re-establishment support for them, hoping that they would all successfully fulfill their national service.
