Quang Ninh: Over VND 6 bln raised for handicapped people and orphans

A ceremony was held in Ha Long city on Apr. 18 to honor handicapped people who manage to over come difficulties and become sucessful in life.

As reported, Quang Ninh currently has nearly 19,300 handicapped people and Orphans living in bad conditions.

At the ceremony, the organizing board raised VND 6 billion to help handicapped people and orphans improve their living quality and integrate into society.

In 2017, with the donation and contribution of the organizations and individuals, the Association in Support of Handicapped and Orphans of Quang Ninh province granted scholarships, bicycles, and wheelchairs to the Orphans and children with hard life.

On this occasion, 11 outstanding organizations and individuals received meritsfor their contribution in supporting handicapped people and orphans in 2017.
