55 day-campaign launched to speed up Ha Long-Van Don expressway

In order to ensure the progress of the Ha Long- Van Don expressway, the Bien Cuong Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Joint Stock Company has launched a 55-day campaign (from May 5-June 30) so that the project could be completed by June 30, 2018.

To date, more than 90 percent of the work has been fulfilled.

After over two years of construction, to date, more than 90 percent of the work has been fulfilled. The contractors were directed to enhance the labour force and machines, set detailed plans for each components of the project with the aim of speeding up the progress.

A Steering Borad of the campaign was established to intensify the project supervision, checking the provision of workers and machines as agreed, suspending the contractors who are not  able to ensure the progress and construction quality.

Implemented under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) form at a total cost of over VND12,000 billion, the Ha Long- Van Don expressway is the transport infrastructure project with the largest investment in Quang Ninh province. As planned, the project will be completed by June 30.
