To officially open An Sinh temple festival 2011

On Sept 17, Dong Trieu District People’s Committee has held the opening ceremony of the 2011 festival of An Sinh temple and  Tran  Kings shrine area.

At the ceremony, delegates and local people offered incenses to memorize Tran kings at An Sinh, Thai temples and Tran Hien Tong royal tomb.

This year festival prolongs 3 days from 17 to 19, Sept with various cultural, art and sport activities, such as competitions of valleyball, Chiness chess, and traditional wrestling.

An Sinh temple is situated in the historical relic complex under the Tran dynasty in Dong Trieu. It has been classified as a National historical relic since 1962. The An Sinh Temple  festival annually takes place on August 20 of the lunar calendar aiming at on one hand promoting the tradition and historical value of the country, and on the other hand contributing to  enhance the  protection and preservation of the Tran historical relic in Dong Trieu district .
