OCOP Summer Fair to kick-start on April 26

The One Commune One Product (OCOP) fair - Summer 2024 is planned to be launched on April 26 at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city, according to the provincial OCOP Steering Board.

This fair is expected be a bridge connecting businesses and cooperatives to their target  markets, partners and potential customers.

The fair is scheduled to include about 300 standard kiosks which will display and sell plenty of typical products and products groups from 13 districts, towns and cities in the province.

There are also a wide range of goods made in other provinces nationwide and Asian countries.

Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2024 is an annual event  enlisted in the Quang Ninh OCOP Program, significantly contributing to the promotion of OCOP Quang Ninh products, serving the consumption needs of people and tourists, and creating a premise for the development of services.

This fair is expected be a bridge connecting businesses and cooperatives to their target  markets, partners and potential customers in the peak tourist season.

Having been launched since October, 2013, the “Quang Ninh province - One commune, one specific product” program aims to develop and promote traditional products which has a competitive advantage, contributing to restructuring the economy in urban Quang Ninh and satisfying the criteria on “economy and organizational form of production", one of national criteria for building a new countryside.

After a decade of OCOP implementation, Quang Ninh has 569 products of 6 groups, while 336 OCOP products from 13 localities have achieved ratings of 3 to 5 stars (246 products with 3 stars, 86 with 4 stars, and 4 with 5 stars).

The province has 219 production entities participating in the OCOP program (including 54 enterprises, 87 cooperatives, and 78 production households) and around 30 OCOP retail points and centers.

Quang Ninh has planned 17 concentrated agricultural production areas, integrating advanced technology into production. Many of the province’s OCOP products exhibit high quality, excellent designs, and have the potential for export to various markets.
