Discovering Spiritual tourism routes in Dong Trieu, Quang Ninh

Located peacefully on Bao Dai Mountain in Tay Son Hamlet, Binh Khe Commune, Dong Trieu Town, Ngoa Van Pagoda has been developed to be one of the 14 tourism destinations in the Quang Ninh (including An Sinh temple, Quynh Lam pagoda) to meet the demand for spiritual tourism of Buddhist monks and pilgrims across the country.

Tran dynasty tourism route with its highlight of Ngoa Van pagoda is expected to allure a great number of tourists to Quang Ninh on the occasion of the upcomingTet holiday 2017.

Ngoa Van pagoda, the highlight of the Tran dysnaty relics, is considered as a holy land of the Vietnamese Truc Lam Zen Monastery.

Among the Tran dynasty relics in Dong Trieu, not far away from the downtown of Dong Trieu, An Sinh temple is considered as one of the most sacred religious buildings. Situated in the An Sinh Commune, Dong Trieu District, An Sinh Temple Area belongs to Nghia Hung Hamlet which is used to dedicate 8 kings of Tran and the tombs of Tran Thai Tong, Tran Thanh Tong and Gian Dinh De. Tran Anh Tong tomb is located in Loc Camp, Tran Minh Tong tomb is in Khe Gach, Tran Hien Tong tomb is in Ao Beo, Tran Du Tong tomb is in Dong Tron, Tran Nghe Tong tomb is in Khe Nghe areas. Besides the temple in each tomb for dedication, many big temples were built in An Sinh Temple Area by the court for respect-paying audience. It was defended carefully by mandarins. This area became solemn holly land through Tran, Le, Nguyen Dynasties.

The highlight of the Tran dysnaty spritual tourism route is Ngoa Van pagoda. Ngoa Van Pagoda festival is annually held on the  9th day of the fisrt lunar month. Since the upgrade of Ngoa Van Pagoda began in 2014, and the 2km cable car was operated to better serve tourists visiting Ngoa Van Pagoda. It helps attract more domestic and international visitors to Dong Trieu town, contributing to the tourism development of Dong Trieu in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.
