Northern district joins scientists and farmers

On October 29, in Dong Trieu district, the northern province of Quang Ninh, the provincial board for building new style rural areas worked with relevant agencies to hold a meeting to link scientists and farmers.

During the meeting, farmers in the district were given knowledge and experience on planting and raising animals, the prevention of disease in plants and animals, gaining access to the market, building agricultural product brands, and the protection of the environment.

Nearly  50 questions from farmers on choosing and caring for crops and animals were answered by scientists.

During the program, farmers were given some publications on planting and caring for some kinds of plants that have demand on the market.

The meeting between scientists and farmers aimed to raise farmers’ knowledge, change methods of production, increase application of science and technology into agricultural production, and help farmers raise their earnings from cultivation.
