61 cannabis plants discovered in Quan Lan

The Quan Lan Border Post has just destroyed 61 cannabis plants in Quan Lan commune, Van Don district, Quang Ninh province on March 22.

Captain Nguyen Manh Thang, deputy commissar of the Quan Lan Border Post, said that the force for drug-related crimes of the border post and the Quan Lan police discovered 61 cannabis plants in the garden of Ms. Pham Thi Len, born in 1963, in Bac hamlet, Quan Lan commune.
The investigation revealed 61 cannabis plants on an area of 20 square meters. They were 20-50cm in height.
Ms. Pham Thi Len confessed that due to limited awareness, she hadn’t understood the harmful effect of planting cannabis.
The Quan Lan Border Post seized all the cannabis plants and fined her VND3.5 million.
