Mong Cai earns over VND280 billion from tourism

Since the beginning of the year, nearly 855,000 visitors entered and exited through the Mong Cai international border gate, 88.9% of the same period last year, according to statistics of the managing board of the Bac Luan International Border Gate in Mong Cai city.

By March 21st, visitors through the border gate reached nearly 320,000, up 6.1% year on year, grossing a turnover of over VND280 billion, up 27% over a year earlier. Over VND21 billion was estimated to be contributed to the State budget, up 16%.

Currently, Mong Cai city is promptly carrying out numerous solutions to speed up tourism development, including some new tourism products, routes and spots such as the inauguration of Tran Phu food street, a pedestrian street in Hoa Lac ward, Friendship (Huu Nghi) park; the announcement of a recreation route on Vinh Thuc - Vinh Trung island, Hai Son - Bac Son experience tourism route; and the recognition of the beaches of Da Den, Ben Hen and Da Dong.
